Precision force sensor up to 4448kN

With our experience going back over 50 years, we can produce products that provide the most accurate and reliable data possible thanks to high-quality technical equipment. The core product, the force transducer, comes in many different variations. Load cell (Merzahl Messdosen), for example, is still a frequently used term for a force transducer. Interface produces force transducers in different geometries with measuring ranges from 0,1 Newton to 15 Mega Newton for tension and compression directions. Three loading principles in particular are used as measuring spring bodies, these are based on:

• Uniaxial printing and/or Tensile stress
• Bending stress
• Shear/shear stress

To call these sensors a load cell is actually disrespectful, as decades of intensive development work have gone into this highly developed precision force transducer. We have further developed this measuring cell and optimized it according to the latest technical standards in order to meet the highest demands.

DMS arrangement

For the measurement, 8 strain gauges with measuring grids rotated by 45° are used, which are applied exactly in the middle of the bridge on both sides of the bridge. The measuring grids on both sides of the webs are arranged mirrored at 90° to each other so that positive and negative strains are measured.
