Which torque transducers are suitable for rotating applications?

For rotating shafts, torque measuring shafts (e.g., T2, T4, T6, T8, T11, T22, T25) are available, which operate without contact and without slip rings. The measuring ranges extend up to 10 kN·m. For static or reactive applications – such as in test benches or for measuring bolt preload – reaction torque transducers are used. How does the XSENSOR pressure distribution system work and what is it used for?

Does interfaceforce® eK also perform calibrations of third-party sensors?

Yes. The calibration laboratory of interfaceforce® eK is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited (A2LA and DAkkS mutually recognized within the framework of the ILAC MRA) and calibrates force measuring devices regardless of the manufacturer. For hazardous areas (ATEX/IECEx), interfaceforce® eK offers force transducers from the 3400 series as well as hermetically sealed sensor variants made of stainless steel. Parasitic forces are unwanted shear forces, bending moments, or torsional loads that act on the sensor simultaneously with the actual measuring force and can distort the result. Even an angular deviation of 5° in the load application causes a systematic error. To minimize parasitic influences, interfaceforce® eK recommends using rod ends, pressure load buttons, and mounting plates – all available as accessories. For customers who need to weigh and monitor the contents in their silos, Interface offers our galvanized A4200 load cells made of alloy tool steel or stainless steel in combination with a programmable weight display and controller. These products allow customers to monitor the amount of content by weight in their silo. In this application example, the customer was provided with an adaptable force measurement solution for monitoring and weighing their silo.

Large agricultural operations want to measure the pulling forces between the tractor and all associated attachments. Measuring the force helps the farmer identify loads on the tractor's trailer hitch and make force adjustments if the tractor encounters rough terrain. Interface supplied a WTSLP wireless stainless steel load pin that can be installed directly into the trailer hitch and replaces the tractor's normal shear pin. Results are wirelessly transmitted to the WTS-BS-4 industrial USB base station, where the farmer can view the results on their PC or laptop using the included WTS toolkit. The customer can also view the results in real time on the WTSBS-1-HS handheld display for individual transmitters.
