Drone videography

A video filming crew wanted to ensure that the propeller motors compensated for weight shifts or uneven weight distribution of the attached video camera when taking landscape and other aerial photographs. Four Interface WMC Sealed Stainless Steel Miniature Load Cells were installed on the required propeller motors to compensate for uneven weight loading. The WMCs measure the weight of the attached film camera and detect weight shifts or uneven weight distribution of the video camera.
The four WMC load cells accurately measured the weight of the payload and maintained the stability of the propeller motors when the drone was in the air with the film camera attached. This information was passed to the drone's onboard processor for monitoring and recording during flight. More information can be found here.
Entertainment LED Screens

A client building a massive venue wanted to weigh their extremely large LED screens. Additionally, the strength of the structure supporting the screens should be measured to ensure stability and structural integrity. Interface suggested mounting the LW General Purpose Load Washer load cells in rods that are part of the support structure. The LED screen hangs on the structure connected to the rods. The compressive forces acting on the rods are measured by the LWs installed between them.
The load gauges are coupled to the WTS-AM-1E wireless strain bridge transmitter modules, with force results wirelessly sent to both the WTS-BS-1 Wireless Handheld Display for Unlimited Transmitters and the WTS-BS-4 Wireless Base Stations with the included Log100 -Software can be transferred. Interface's wireless load washer system successfully weighed the forces of the large LED screen for the client's new venue. Learn more.
Brake pedal for game simulations

A game manufacturer wanted to switch from standard racing pedals to a pedal system with load cells for its racing simulation game. Compared to the standard racing simulation pedals, pedals with load cells are more advanced and provide more accurate results. They also wanted a wireless system that measures the amount of pressure on the pedals to determine the perfect braking force.
Interface's BPL Pedal Load Cell was installed on the gaming brake pedal to measure the force exerted when someone places their foot on the pedal. The forces were measured and recorded using the WTS-AM-1E Wireless Strain Bridge Transmitter Modules, with the data transmitted to the WTS-BS-6 Dongle Base Station when connected to the customer's PC or laptop. The BPL Pedal Load Cell from Interface was used to measure and record the pedal forces acting on the brake pedals of the racing games.
In comparison to conventional simulation pedals, which measure the pedal travel when pressed, the pedal system with a load cell offers... Interface a more realistic experience for players.
