LOWPROFILE™ LOAD CELL KITS
Interface's LowProfile load cells are offered with a base as standard. The base is a flat surface that is guaranteed to provide optimal support for bending. The use of the base or a support surface of equivalent flatness and stability is required to ensure the exceptional performance of the LowProfile® Series. Note that the threaded hole is centered in the base and a plug is permanently installed to seal out dirt and moisture from the space between the bottom hub of the bend and the flat surface of the base. Read more about the basics of base kits. Opinion: LowProfile™ load cell base kits
Features and Benefits of Primary LowProfile Load Cell Base Kits:
- 14 model options with American and metric threads
- 15 stainless steel model options
- All bases are heat treated
- High-strength materials including stainless steel options
- Available in standard LowProfile sizes for Interface load cell models 1000, 1200, 2400, 3200
- The standard thread size is the same as that of the associated load cell
- Custom base options available
- When the base and load cell are ordered together, a plug is included in both the load cell and base to prevent damage or errors caused by excessive engagement of the mating parts
TORQUE COUPLINGS PLUS NEW TECHNICAL GUIDE
Interface is pleased to present a complete overview catalog and technical guide for our extensive range of torque ROBA® DS couplings. This torsionally rigid shaft coupling from Interface transmits drive torque up to the nominal torque completely without play and with permanently high torsional spring stiffness. Problems that occur with other commercially available clutches, such as bulging of the discs or overcoming the frictional connection, are not an issue with our clutches. The specified shaft displacements can be utilized to 100% without affecting the transferable torque. This guarantees unrestricted use. Opinion: Torque Couplings Technical Guide and Summary Catalog for all sizes, technical details and assembly instructions.
Primary Torque Couplings Options and Features:
- Insensitive to alternating loads up to 100% of the nominal torque
- Low mass inertia due to high power density
- Completely free of play up to the nominal torque
- High displacement compensation capacity with low restoring forces
- High torsional rigidity up to the nominal torque
- Completely wear and maintenance free
- Optimal design thanks to a large range of variants
There are two main categories of couplings used in force measurement, and the biggest difference between the two is the degree of freedom required for the application. The categories are single-jointed and double-jointed. Read more in our series Couplings 101.
