Vehicle crash test load cell wall
Vehicle crash test load cell wall
in the automobile and vehicle industry
Challenge for the customer
A company wants to conduct crash tests on their vehicles. There are several tests such as structural tests of the vehicle, development tests, as well as compliance tests. To do this, the force of the vehicle must be measured on all axles during crash tests.
Interface solution
Interface suggests using multiple 3A400 3-axis load cells that attach to the back of the crash wall. These are transmitted via the interface BlueDAQ series connected to the data acquisition system to record the force measurements.

Results
The customer was able to measure impact force for all of their various vehicle crash test demonstrations.
Material
- 3AXX 3-axis load cells
- Interface BX8-HD44 BlueDAQ series data acquisition system acquisition system
- Customer PC or laptop
How It Works
- Multiple 3A3 400-axis load cells are attached with screws to the back of a cement crash test wall, creating a load cell wall.
- The vehicle crash test is carried out and the 3-axis load cells measure all forces on all axes.
- Multiple BlueDAQ series data acquisition systems with BX8-HD44 interface systems record force results connected to a PC or laptop.
