Work Protection
Occupational health and safety guidelines based on ISO 45001
1. Purpose
The safety, health, and well-being of our employees are our company's highest priority. As a trading company, we are committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, and systematically minimizing risks to employees and other interested parties.
This policy is based on the principles of ISO 45001 and forms the framework for our occupational health and safety management.
2. Scope of application
This policy applies to all employees of our company as well as to external persons who work on our behalf or are present on our company premises.
3. Principles
We are committed to complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements for occupational health and safety; identifying hazards early and implementing appropriate protective measures; preventing work-related injuries, illnesses and accidents; continuously promoting the safety and health of our employees; giving due consideration to occupational health and safety aspects in operational decisions; and continuously improving our occupational health and safety management.
4. Responsibility and Leadership
The management bears overall responsibility for occupational health and safety within the company and undertakes to ensure safe working conditions within its area of responsibility; to inform employees about relevant hazards and protective measures; to monitor compliance with applicable safety regulations; and to pass on identified risks and potential for improvement to the management.
All employees and service providers are obliged to comply with the applicable occupational safety regulations; to use provided work equipment as intended; to report hazards, defects and near misses immediately; and to actively contribute to the improvement of safety and health protection.
5. Risk assessment and hazard management
We regularly identify and assess work-related hazards and risks, particularly in the following areas: office and computer workstations, warehousing and shipping activities, goods handling and internal transport, electrical equipment, traffic and commuting accidents, ergonomic stress, and psychological stress. Based on this assessment, appropriate technical, organizational, and personal protective measures are determined.
6. Information, instruction and qualification
Our employees receive appropriate information and training on the safety and health requirements relevant to their work.
7. Employee participation
We encourage the active participation of our employees in improving occupational health and safety. Suggestions, comments, and reports regarding hazards or potential improvements are reviewed and, if necessary, implemented in appropriate measures.
8. Emergency preparedness
Suitable measures for preparation and response are defined for potential emergencies. These include, in particular: fire protection measures, first aid organization, evacuation procedures, and the designation of first aiders and fire safety officers.
9. Reporting of incidents
Accidents, near misses, safety deficiencies, and other work-related incidents are documented, analyzed, and used to derive improvement measures. The goal is to prevent similar events in the future.
10. Continuous improvement
We regularly review the effectiveness of our occupational health and safety measures and processes. In doing so, we consider, in particular: occupational health and safety indicators, accident and incident reports, employee feedback, legal changes, and operational changes. Based on this, we derive appropriate improvement measures.
11. Final Provisions
This occupational health and safety policy is regularly reviewed for relevance and effectiveness and adapted as needed.
